This special, limited release matcha is the result of an authentic connection and collaboration between Portland and Japan.
True Tea founder Katherine Harris first discovered Norm Tea House while visiting Japan. While keeping in touch, we learned the owner of Norm was already familiar and a fan of Katherine’s sister coffee roasting company and cafe, Upper Left Roasters in Portland through her own travels.
Through this mutual appreciation of practices and bond, we’ve been entrusted with 15kgs of Norm Tea House’s personal matcha inventory: the very same tea served to guests in their Kyoto cafe.
Carefully stone-milled from leaves grown on a historic farm in Kagoshima, this matcha represents a rare treat that we are incredibly grateful to bring to the states.
